Dear Vendor,

I would like to apologize for the tardiness with sending out the applications for this
 year’s Belize Day. The search for a new venue with better security was an arduous task
 but we can now move forward with planning of this year’s event. The 2017 Belize Day
 in the Park Festival will be held on Sunday, August 6th in a beautiful Chicago Park
 District location and we are working with an excellent security team to ensure the
 safety of all attendees as well as the vendors. We are working on final details for
 the location but wanted to get the applications to you.   

Participation requirements are as follows:

•Completed application with all appropriate fees

•City of Chicago Summer Festival Certification Permit for all food vendors

•Liability insurance for all food vendors (Fee waived if proof of insurance provided)

•Proof of liability insurance must be submitted with completed application

•No sale of alcoholic beverages. 

•Non-food vendors need to use 10 x 10 tents. Food vendors are allowed to use 10 x 20
 tents. Each vendor will only be provided with 10 feet width for front portion of booth

•Tent and equipment set up scheduled for Sunday, August 6th from 6 am to 11:59 am.
 Chicago Park District has strict guidelines regarding loading and unloading so all
 vendors are expected to keep their vehicles off the grass and complete set up in the
 required time frame.

•All applications must be submitted by July 15th, 2017 to avoid a late fee of $25.00.  

•Cancellations prior July 22nd are subject to a $50 processing fee  

•Cancellations after July 22nd, 2017 are subject to a $150.00 processing fee for
 non-food and $295.00 processing fee for food vendors.  

•Return of completed application with all the appropriate registration fees in the form
 of a check or money order payable the Belize Educational Fund and Day in the Park 
 Committee to reserve your space. 

•We are continuing the flexible payment plan option which will allow vendors to make
 payment in any increment in order to secure their place for 2017 event. If you chose
 the flexible payment plan, you must provide a payment with you completed application
 no later than July 15th and must be paid in full by July 22nd, 2017 in order to take
 advantage of this payment option.
